Hammer, Hatch, Show!

APRIL 16-26, 2026

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN February 2026

Important!

We are using a software created specifically for poultry shows! The creator has even customized it to accommodate our unique classes like commercial projects, eggs, and the breed show. Please read this entire message carefully and refer back to it before reaching out with questions—we promise, most answers are in here! We’re all doing our best and hope you love the program just as much as we do. Alright—here we go!

You must create an account for each child entering. You can use the same email address for multiple kids, but each one will need a unique username. YES—we know some of you have a small army of kids. We appreciate you taking the time to complete the entries without complaints!

💲 Entry fees are capped at $40 per family. You will see a total due at check-in, but do not panic! We will adjust your balance on our end to reflect the $40 family cap. Payment is due at check-in via cash or check (made out to Pima County 4-H Poultry Project).

📌 Each pen entered is $2.00. Every entry = one pen. (Trios and pairs = one pen.) Get ready to dust off those high school math skills… in 3… 2… 1…

🚫 There is a 20-pen limit per exhibitor. If you submit more than 20 pens (excluding eggs), we’ll reach out and help you adjust your entries.

🥚 Egg entries DO NOT count toward your 20-pen limit.
🥚 Trios and pairs = one pen.
📊 Yes, you may have to do a little math to make sure your pens stay under the limit. (Again: eggs, trios, and pairs all count as one pen each.)

🐔 You MUST enter your showmanship bird into the fair. No additional birds will be allowed on the fairgrounds after Monday check-in.

🥚 Egg entries are by the half dozen (6 eggs). When entering eggs, just select “1” in any of the gender boxes. No need to enter “6”… unless you just love doing more math.

🎨 Decorative egg entries are not by the dozen. Enter “1” and bring one decorative egg.

🍗 For commercial meat projects, select the “commercial meat” category and then begin typing your project name (e.g. Heritage Meat Pen). This includes both broilers and heritage-type meat birds.

📎 You’ll see a spot to upload paperwork—ignore it! Just click “Exempt.” This feature is built into the software and doesn’t apply to our local project needs.

🚫 Once submitted, you can’t edit your entry—but we can! So if something changes, just let us know and we’ll help make updates for you.

📅 No changes will be allowed after March 15—except for scratches.

🛑 DEADLINE TO ENTER: MARCH 15, 2026
No late entries. No day-of entries. No exceptions.

📘 IMPORTANT! This entry form is separate from the ownership paperwork submitted in January. That earlier form verified your project ownership dates. You still must complete this entry form in addition to that.

📖 Have questions about the rules? Check the premium book first—it covers poultry rules, fair rules, OPH rules, small stock rules… you get the idea. The premium book button is linked below!

📩 If your question is about the fair registration form (this one!), go ahead and contact us. Otherwise, please try to answer your question through the resources provided first.
