Apache County Poultry Show
Looking for a fun way to get experience before fair and knock out one of your required events? Attend the Apache County Poultry Show for their Annual Triple Show! This is a great opportunity to see a wide variety of birds, practice showmanship, and connect with other poultry families.
✅ This show counts toward your required event attendance for the Pima County Fair! Remember, every exhibitor must attend at least two approved events before fair.
🐓 Friday evening kicks off with the first show, followed by a double show on Saturday.
🎃 Friday night also features a Trunk-or-Treat event—bring your costume and enjoy some family fun after the show!
It’s also a great place to meet breeders and even purchase birds for your project! Whether you’re looking to start a new breed, ask questions, or network with poultry folks, this show is a fantastic place to do it.
We highly recommend attending—great experience, fun atmosphere, and lots to learn!

This date marks the final day to place your order for the Turkey Project. Be sure to get your order in on time to ensure your poults arrive at the right age for fair eligibility and project success. Don’t miss your chance to raise these impressive birds as part of your 4-H experience!
Fur and Feather
Looking for the perfect way to kick off your 4-H year? Join us at the Fur and Feather Small Stock Showmanship Event!
🐰🐓 This is the first official event of the 4-H year and a great choice for first-time exhibitors. It’s designed to be welcoming, low-pressure, and all about learning.
Come check it out, see how a show is run, and get hands-on experience with showmanship in a supportive environment. Whether you’re new to poultry or just want a refresher, this event is a fantastic place to start!
Tucson Fancy Fowl
Tucson Fancy Fowl is another great opportunity to gain show experience and meet your event requirements!
This show is similar to the Apache County Poultry Show—you’ll see lots of birds, meet breeders, and get valuable time in the show ring. 🐓
The main difference? It’s a one-day event and does not include the Trunk-or-Treat.

It’s another excellent option to count toward your required pre-fair events and a great way to get involved!

This date is the last day to place your order for the Pekin Duck Project. Make sure your order is submitted on time so your ducklings arrive at the right stage for fair participation and project goals. Get ready for a fun and rewarding experience raising these fast-growing and friendly birds!
The Safford Poultry Show
The Safford Poultry Show is a smaller, one-day event that still offers a great opportunity to gain show experience! 🐥
Because it’s a single-day show, it’s a great option for newer exhibitors or families looking for a more relaxed environment to practice and participate.

YQCA Deadline
YQCA Certification Deadline
This is the final day to complete your YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) certification! If you're participating in any livestock projects, be sure your course is finished and your certificate is emailed by the end of the day to stay eligible for fair and show participation.

Ownership Deadline
Ownership Form Deadline
This is the final day to submit your livestock ownership forms! These are required for all market and breeding livestock projects and must be turned in on time to remain eligible for fair participation. Please note: these forms are separate from fair entry forms and must be completed in addition to them.
Arizona Stock Show and Roundup
This event brings together 4-H members from across Arizona for a weekend of learning, practicing, and showcasing all they’ve gained through their projects.
💡 You’ll have the chance to participate in exhibitions, contests, and hands-on clinics designed to help you grow in your knowledge and Mastery.
📅 The date is currently TBD, but we’ll share it with families as soon as it’s announced.
Whether you’re brand new or have been showing for years, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and level up your skills!
Fair Registration Deadline
Must be completed separately from the ownership deadline in order to participate in the Pima County Fair. Limit of 10 pens per exhibitor. Definitions of pens are in the Livestock Premium Book—be sure to review before registering.

Join us for a day filled with poultry topics, games, food, fun and more! Register by filling out the form below! THERE WILL BE NO PIGEON in an official capacity. If you would still like to bring a pigeon, please do and we will help you as best we can for extra practice!

Deadline to Order Commercial Turkey Poults
All exhibitors to entering the commercial turkey project must order their poults on our Commercial Project Page by October 31, 2024. No late forms will be accepted. All exhibitors must order their poults through the Pima County 4-H Poultry Project in order to participate. This is to ensure equal competition among the exhibitors. No outside turkeys will be accepted at the fair for this particular project.
Exhibitors will purchase 3 poults for $20. Payment is due at the time of pick up.

Deadline to Order Laying Hen Chicks!!
All exhibitors to entering the commercial laying hen project must order their chicks on our Commercial Project Page by July 27, 2024. No late forms will be accepted. Arizona Small Stock Camp and Show 2024
Second Annual Arizona Small Stock Camp and Show 2024 Will be held in Navajo County!
LOCATION: Taylor Rodeo Park 202 Center St Taylor, AZ
This show is open to ALL Youth
Small Stock Camp will be Thursday, June 20 - Friday June 21 from 9am-2pm
Small Stock Show will be on Saturday June 22 with check in opening at 9 am and judging starting at 10am.
