UPDATE!! A message has gone out from the organizers of the Stock Show:
Dear 4-H families and participants,
Thank you for registering for this year’s 4-H Stockshow and Roundup. We appreciate the time, preparation, and dedication that goes into participating in this event.
We regret to share that the large and small stock shows will not be held this year. This was not an easy decision, and we understand this news may be disappointing. Please know that the Stockshow and Roundup will return next year, and we look forward to welcoming you back then.
While the livestock shows will not take place, we are pleased to confirm that the knowledge contests will still be held at the Pima County Fairgrounds on Saturday, February 14th, and are open to all members ages 8–18.
The available knowledge contests include:
Poultry Quiz Bowl*
Poultry Judging*
Horse Judging*
Horse Quiz Bowl*
Hippology*
Large Stock Quiz Bowl*
Large Stock Skill-a-thon
Small Stock Quiz Bowl
Small Stock Skill-a-thon
Contests marked with an asterisk (*) will continue to serve as qualifiers for national events. Eligible participants (ages 14–18) will still have the opportunity to compete and advance to the national level. Please see the attachment flyer for more information.
All entries submitted through ZSuites will be fully refunded, including entries for knowledge contests. Participants interested in competing in the knowledge contests must re-register using the links below:
Additional details, including the knowledge contest schedule, will be shared soon.
We recognize that this change is unexpected, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause. Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We hope to see many of you on Saturday, February 14th, for a great day of knowledge contests.
NOTE from Poultry:
Because this event will not include showmanship classes, it cannot be used as an attendance qualifier for project requirements this year. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
We still strongly encourage members—especially those in poultry—to consider participating in Poultry Quiz Bowl or Poultry Judging as a great way to build skills, stay involved, and represent their projects this season.
