Pima County Poultry Project Update

Remember to read the Premium book (the most up to date one is here on the website). Looking for bird donations for the silent auction at Fur and Feather- no lonely males- they need to have one or two girlfriends!

Dates

- October 24 Clinic on showmanship

- bring birds

- no pre registration

- October 30-31 Apache Poultry Show in St Johns

- registration open and due 18th

- Turkey orders due by the 31st

- November 7 Fur and Feather

- registration open and due 31st

- still looking for bird donations

- November 28th Tucson Fancy Fowl

- Turkeys should arrive in December

- current hatch date is the week of the 14th as long as weather isn’t too cold

- January 9th Cotton Classic in Phoenix

- January 9th Safford show? Seems to always be the same weekend

- commercial ducks will not be done by the county so they need to be hatched between January 25 and February 8th

- January 30-31 Stock Show

- January 31 YQCA due

- February fair registration will go out and be due March 15

- February 20 Poultry Field Day

- Meat chickens between February 22 and March 8

- March 27 last clinic and last chance for attendance

Other

- have an idea for a shirt this year and will hopefully have it out soon for order
